Merry Everyday

I normally look forward to the holidays because I get to see my family and eat with them. Normally all the families gather for a big dinner at my grandma's We stay there until midnight and we open a few presents, play games and just eat. One year I remember it being non traditional christmas food. It was like Sticky rice, chicken, papaya salad, ground pork... it was great. I got to eat with my hands for christmas! How many people can say that?
So the day before christmas eve my parents tell me they are going out to go dancing on Christmas Eve. Okay. Minus 2.

Its okay I get to hang out at my grandma's house. Everyone is always there.
I baked with my sister a bit to prep for the big dinner. I haven't seen my two new nieces yet or my cousins new wife. I'm a little excited. I get there with my sister and I only notice a few people. Where is everyone? My grandma tells me they just ate and left... What?? They are supposed to stay. That's how it is every year. We have fun and just catch up on each other's lives. The few remaining people eat quickly and just head out. Its only seven thirty...

I just chat with my grandma while we clean up. She tells gossip XD. She also tells me that I need to eat more and forces me to take most of the leftovers. She also wants me to take more apple juice (Hey Justin). I didn't get to see most of my family, but to look at the bright side I got to hang out with my grandma =D.

Me and my sister head home at nine since my grandma is going to bed. Parents come home at midnight and we say merry christmas and they are off to bed. It didn't feel any different than any normal day. A little disappointed. But...
The real turning point. Jim revealed his surprise and I laughed so hard going through all the albums. I showed my sister who didnt share the same appreciation. Thanks Jim!

Then I head off to bed. I get a call from Justin. And if you guys ever noticed when you guys call me when I'm sleeping I try really hard to sound like I didn't just wake up. I don't know if it works. But anyways He asks if he could use my bathroom. I am a little confused. But sure of course. I run to the door and I see two figures in the light. You guys look so like magical with the security light behind you guys. Omg another surprise! I hug them and keep hugging them. They brought these cute christmas presents...

Afterwards I couldn't fall back to sleep for another hour. I was soo happy. I was thinking about our early Christmas celebration, how much I love every single person and how you all make me feel so great. You guys always show you care. This is how it is supposed to feel. I don't need one day a year to make me feel this way because you guys always make me feel like this. <3
