The first (and last) Class-ys!

So its friday night and we are here in Davis celebrating the first ever Class-ys.
Which class will take home the sought after pink post-it notes tonight?

Lets Check in with Toby our correspondent on the floor.
"I'm here on the carpet completely surrounded by class notes. I have no idea who is going to win tonight, but I believe that- oh my god here come Classics10 wearing a black toga garnished with a brass shoulder clasp designed by Aphrodite. Accompanying him is BIS103: Metabolism and Energetics, the feared bad boy from the bio series. They were partnered up in the Fall of 2007 and have been together ever since. Back to you!"

Favorite Science class
Bis 103: Metabolism and Bioenergetics with Callis
I enjoyed learning all those pathways. It makes me think of a Rube Goldberg machine.
- Second would have to be the whole Ochem series with Nasiri <3

Funnest Class
MIC 101: Microbiology
Learning about disease = plus
Staining everything in sight= plus
Cute boy TA = plus ( okay this doesn't have to do with the class)
Dr Mann = super plus
=D

Best Sit back and relax, but still learn class:
Classics 10: Greek, Roman, Near East Mythology
Its like story time.. in college! I love mythology and the way the professor teaches it is great. She is like a one person play.

Surprisingly fun class
CMN 1: Public Speaking
I dreaded this class and put it off to the end, but it was actually one of the most enjoyable classes I have ever taken. I feel a little more confident in my public speaking now. I actually had a lot of fun and looked forward to speeches.

Best Friend Making class
MCB 120L: Biochemistry Lab
Sitting in a room with people for 5 hours at a time, 2 days a week will do that to you. Most of the Biochemistry people you see in classes you finally get to interact with them. Also having to share a pipette between three people during a practical... I think you have to be nice. I also liked how we all had each others backs. We wouldn't let anyone fall behind or do bad on a test. We formed a support group for each other for the next year.

Class that made me work the most:
NPB 101: Human Phsyiology
Its one thing individual parts of the body for the test, but to know in detail the whole body for the final. So painful. I think I killed a tree for the class. Sadness =\

The cla-razzies
Least favorite class
MCB 124: Macromolecules (I didn't have it with the good professor though =\)
Ugh.. This class made me feel like I never learned anything. Usually I hype myself up for any class by telling myself its fun and interesting, but this class... no. I think this was one of the first times I tried to drink a cup of coffee.

-Second place goes to BIS 104: Cell functions?
I don't even know the title was. The whole quarter was about one article.
apparently Andrew was in this class with me.

After reading this you guys probably want me to never write a blog again... XD
Let me explain myself... its a friday night and I'm hanging out with myself and the combination of me applying for pharm school and having to go through my transcript and cleaning out my college notes that lead me to this idea.
Maybe in pharm school I can do this again. Until next time
If you guys were classes you would so win class-ys.

  1. I'm loving my anatomy class at the moment (the hardest leveled one offered at my college), and are planning to take Human Physio and MicroBi soon. I am hoping that i have a cute classmate/TA too. =]

And I used to rock it in Public Speech [charlie once shadowed me for that class] it's nice to see other people struggle with yourself when it comes to speaking.
